Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies for Marine and Membrane Antifouling Applications

نویسندگان

چکیده

The major responsibility of the marine industry includes global transportation goods, materials, and people. To cater longstanding challenges like degradation materials biofouling, it has embraced nanotechnology solutions. Nano-technology offered numerous products such as nano-ZnO, nano alumina, silica, etc. to deal with corrosion in a cost-effective manner. Similarly, address biofouling aquatic environment, hybrid nanocomposites organic-inorganic photocatalytic nanomaterials, metal oxide nanomaterials (nanoparticles, nanowires, nanorods), are employed viable agents create non-toxic or low-toxic antifouling coatings. On other hand, membrane separation technology plays significant role various industries including water treatment plants, food, medicine, pharmacy, biotechnology, addition domestic arena for purification drinking water. Such wonderful is being totally disturbed by troublesome problem predominant barrier called fouling, which drastically limits commercialization membranes whole industrial well. Hence, this review exclusively throws light on nanotechnologies developed prevention fouling that occurs submerged structures well give possible solutions increased resilience against come.

Liposome and polymer-based nanomaterials for vaccine applications

Nanoparticles (NPs) are effective and safe adjuvants for antigen delivery in modern vaccinology. Biodegradable nanomaterials with suitable properties are frequently applied for conjugation or loading with antigens; they protect the antigens from degradation in vivo. NPs are applied as effective delivery system to facilitate antigen uptake by antigen presenting cells (APCs) and especially dendri...

Membrane Biological Reactors (MBR) and Their Applications for Water Reuse

The term 'membrane bioreactor' expresses a combination of activated sludge and membrane separation processes. The need to processes like sedimentation and disinfection used in common methods is eliminated through MBR systems in a way that membranes are placed into or out of an aeration tank and the vacuumed wastewater created by the suction pump is pulled up from inside the membranes and leaves...
